One part of Myrtle Beach is still active even after a small price dip

Prices dipped a little in ZIP 29576. That is the honest truth. But the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 361 homes sold there in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 28% from the same three months in 2025. More sales, lower price. That combination tells you something useful.

The median sale price in ZIP 29576 was $399,000, down 1.2%, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Realtor.com reported that home prices for cash buyers were down 1.4% year over year nationally. So this ZIP code is moving in the same direction as the country. But buyers here are still showing up.

Supply dropped hard, and homes moved faster

The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 448 homes for sale in ZIP 29576. That is down 27% from a year before. Fewer choices for buyers usually means more pressure on the homes that are listed. Median days on market fell to 74 days, which is 40 days shorter than the same period in 2025.

Months of supply in ZIP 29576 fell to 3.8 months, down 2.9 months from a year before, per the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Lower supply tends to support sellers who price carefully. Not every home sold fast, but the ones that did moved noticeably quicker than last year.

Nearly 1 in 4 homes went under contract within two weeks

The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 25.9% of homes in ZIP 29576 went under contract within two weeks of listing. That share rose 4.9 points from a year before. Sellers who priced well were rewarded. The average sale price came in at 97.2% of list price, up 0.1 points year over year.

Rates are higher, and that shapes every deal right now

Freddie Mac put the 30-year fixed rate at 7.40% as of October 8, 2026. Realtor.com reported that was the highest in 35 months. A year ago, Realtor.com noted the same rate sat at 6.30%. That gap changes what buyers can afford. It also shapes how sellers need to price.
